The Escondido restaurant, in the Major Market shopping center at the corner of Felicita Avenue and Centre City Parkway, is a roomy space with more than a dozen tables. The walls are decorated with murals of a fishing scene and the Teotihuacan pyramids.

The interior bustles with customers ranging from business people grabbing takeout to families with small children sitting down for a meal. Customers place their orders at the counter and wait to be called.

As the name implies, Pacific Taco Shop offers a variety of tacos, including fried tacos with juicy beef or chicken fillings, tasty fish tacos, and tacos filled with carnitas, carne asada, or carne adobada.Burritos come with fillings ranging from beans to machaca to chile relleno. There are also enchiladas, tortas and a variety of combination plates.
